A Fantasy World in Your Mailbox
12 brothers. 1 sister. 1 epic story. Every month, a bundle of letters arrives from a family scattered across a world on the brink of war. You read what Sally reads. You see what she sees.
Each month, 6-8 handwritten letters from the Thistlewick brothers arrive in your mailbox, aged paper, different voices, one story.
Follow Ned mapping the north, Jack watching the south, Henry tracking the waking forest, Walter in the Sun King's court.
Over 12 months, the Unsealing begins, the forest advances, and the family fights to survive. You hold the letters that tell the tale.
Henry writes from the Wild Marches, where the forest grows and something walks at night.
Dear Sally,
I write from the edge of the deep wood, where even Rangers fear to walk. The forest has grown two miles north since spring. I measured it myself, paced it out, marked the trees. No one believes me. Command says "natural expansion." I know better.
Yesterday I found a homestead abandoned. The Miller place, remember? Good people, bought our surplus grain three years running. Gone now. Door open, fire cold, stew pot still on the table. No bodies. No blood. Just gone.
I met my teacher in the green dark. He is worried. His students are leaving, going east, as if summoned. He speaks of old pacts breaking, of the wood remembering what it was.
I walk alone so others sleep safe. But I am not sleeping well.
Your brother,
H.
P.S. — Do not walk in the western woods. Not until I understand what walks there first.
